Down in the Face of God

at UNCSA

by Tim J. Lord

directed by Cameron Knight

Down in the Face of God is set in a real town in Illinois, is based on several Greek plays, and the characters practice a religion of their own creation. Lots to play with as a dramaturg! I focused on clearly defining the religious practices for the actors and bringing to life the town’s real history and its history within the world of the play.
